Architectural Design
Architecture is a balancer and regulator between the three elements, where all aspects have the same portion so that no one element should exceed the other elements. In the modern definition, architecture must include functional, aesthetic, and psychological considerations. However, it can also be said that the function element itself includes both aesthetic and psychological elements.
Architecture is a multi-disciplinary field, including mathematics, science, art, technology, humanities, economics, social, politics, history, philosophy, and so on. It takes the ability to absorb these various disciplines and apply them in an integral systematic.
Vitruvius stated, "Architecture is a science that arises from other sciences, and is equipped with a learning process: assisted by an assessment of the work as a work of art". He also emphasized the need for an architect to understand social, medical, law, economics, philosophy, etc. Philosophy is one of the main approaches in architecture. Rationalism, empiricism, structuralism, post-structuralism, and phenomenology are some of the philosophical influences on architecture.
